Luxurious and rich Red Velvet Hot Chocolate topped with a dollop of whipped cream is the perfect treat when signing holiday cards.
Thank you Tiny Prints for sponsoring this post. Make this Holiday season extra special with personalized holiday greeting cards from Tiny Prints.
Are you guys looking forward to the holiday season? To all the delicious cookie exchanges, family reunions? We are officially in Christmas mode here! We designed our holiday cards thru Tiny Prints and we spent the weekend sipping Red Velvet Hot Chocolate and writing personal notes to friends and family.
I am all about the holiday cards, I love sending and received hand written cards! I think a hand written card is so much more special, I always envision how the person wrote it, trying to come up with nice wishes, you can feel the energy that was put into the card.
I like sending personalized cards to my family during the holidays, it so happened that me and my husband moved to NYC many years ago and our parents and many friends are in Moldova. We try to visit every year, and we have been blessed to have our parents visiting, but we are rarely all together during the holidays or major events.
Sending them personalized holiday cards is making all of us feel closer, sharing a moment, a glimpse of happiness when reading the words that were written with much love. This year we got some gorgeous Glitter Cards from Tiny Prints. The cards are beautiful, the paper is sturdy and nice, the printed photo is of very high quality, with vibrant colors. The gold glitter adds the right amount of glamour, making the cards look very festive.
I like how at Tiny Prints I can customize the smallest detail of my holiday cards: the cards, the envelopes, even the inside of the envelopes. There are also so many gorgeous fonts to choose from, so many patterns for the inside of the envelopes to add your personal touch. I am think of ordering another set of Ornament Cards, they would be so perfect for our loved ones as they come in different shapes and can be used as tree ornaments! The Foil-Stamped Cards are another favorite, they come in four elegant colors: gold, silver, rose gold and red. Tiny Prints is the perfect place for newlyweds, families, travelers or millennials to create the cards they want, their collections and designs are inclusive of everyone and the custom details will help create the most personal cards!
Every time we get to writing our holiday cards we make Red Velvet Hot Chocolate topped with a big dollop of whipped cream! This year, with our toddler being more engaged it was extra fun to sign cards for grandma and grandpa and to drink a few more cups of Red Velvet Hot Chocolate while listening to Christmas music.
I like my Red Velvet Hot Chocolate thick and rich, no watery, skim milk type of drink here. I remember back in Moldova there was a place serving the most amazing hot chocolate, it literally tasted like they were serving melted chocolate! It was shiny, rich and luxurious! Once I asked them how do they achieve that texture and apparently the secret is in using half whole milk and half heavy whipping cream!
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1½ (or more) teaspoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon red sand sugar
- In a medium sauce pan heat the milk and cream over medium heat.
- Whisk in the chopped chocolate and stir until fully melted.
- Stir in the red food coloring and the vanilla extract. Add more food coloring if needed, until you get the red you are looking for.
- In a mixer bowl, whip the cream with the sugar and vanilla extract.
- Serve the hot chocolate topped with whip per cream and sprinkle with red sand sugar.
Exciting to send these to our relatives and we will also send them the recipe for this Red Velvet Hot Chocolate to sweeten their holidays!
